"I am a sixty-five year old lady who, up until a skiing accident in 2002 when I injured my lower back had taken regular exercise and had been fit and active. Under an Orthopaedic Surgeon care I had two epidural injections under general anaesthetic but these only gave temporary relief.

Subsequently in April 2004 a splinter in my heel from a wooden floor, I suffered a streptococcal infection, septicaemia and finally necrotising facilities. I spent three and a half months in hospital having skin grafts to the right leg, from the toes to the hip, and it was many more months before the leg was healed.

The above having left me quite weak and disabled, I decided to return to an exercise programme.

Encouraged by my daughters to have a personal trainer, I was introduced to Jarek Sklodowski and his training system. He was immediately very encouraging and started me on a course of exercises, slowly at first, then gradually building up commensurate with my ability to cope. We have worked very hard together and I am delighted to say, nine months later, that I am amazed at the results. I would add that the Plastic Surgeon who reconstructed my leg has been equally impressed with my progress and the strength and flexibility I have regained. I walk properly, am driving my car again and as far as I am concerned I can do whatever I wish to lead a normal life. I look forward to continuing an exercise programme I very much enjoy. Jarek has been, quite simply, inspirational.
